Dispel the digital director myth. No one technologist on the board, digital evangelist in leadership, or tool, such as predictive analytics, will deliver on the promise of digital transformation. This poses an obstacle for most companies because it exposes two faulty assumptions: No two companies are at the same point in their digital journey, and boards cannot treat digital as something separate or someone else’s problem.
